Plastic water solenoid valves have become increasingly popular in both residential and industrial applications due to their durability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. These valves, primarily made from corrosion-resistant plastic materials such as polypropylene (PP) or polyamide (PA), are designed to control the flow of water in automated systems with precision. Unlike traditional metal valves, plastic water solenoid valves are lightweight, resistant to rust, and suitable for use in environments where metal components might degrade over time.

The fundamental principle of a plastic water solenoid valve lies in its electromagnetic operation. The valve contains a coil that generates a magnetic field when electric current passes through it. This magnetic field either opens or closes the valve by moving a plunger or diaphragm, allowing water to flow or stopping it according to the system’s requirements. Typically, these valves are available in two configurations: normally closed and normally open. In the normally closed type, water flow is blocked when the valve is not energized, and it opens only when electrical current is applied.
